Welcome to my first band RABBLE ROUSERS website! Billy (one of my friends) and I thought of this name some time in late 1999. Both Billy and I wanted to sing vocals and play guitar. I wrote about 7 songs and he wrote 1. Billy may just sing vocals now, he has dropped the idea of playing any lead guitar; he may just play backup. I have lyrics to 2 songs that I have written on this website. I have seen about 5 songs that Kat wrote, one of them which was dedicated to me. We are trying to take after OUR favorite band, Petra, musically and lyrically. We are just going to start off small, though. I also have most of the music to 4 of my songs, "You Gotta Try It", "Negative Infinity", "Jesus Will Win in the End", and "Joey and Pals". Believe it or not, "Joey and Pals" was the first song I have ever written. I have had the music in my head about all my childhood, and I am planning to use it as a comical/sad kinda song about my friend and cousin Joey who moved away because of family problems. Then, the second song I wrote was "Negative Infinity", and the last song I have written to date is "Jesus will Win in the End". That song has a few "tune pieces", as I like to call it. That means I have selections of music stuck in my head that I think I want to use for it. The next song I plan to write music for is "Good Enough", the first lyric-only song I released on the Internet back in 1999. But, out of all this could-be-useful-but-probably-isn't-information, the first song I am actually going to record in my own little computer studio is "You Gotta Try It". It should be my first complete song. Then I will go on to "Jesus Will Win in the End". My first song should be complete and on the Internet at MP3.COM will be soon; within a few weeks or months. The mission statement for this band is:
"Redefining the sound rock music while not leaving out our most vital goal: the gospel of Jesus."
FAQ:
Q: What in the WORLD is the style of music called 'R2'?
A: Oh yes, that is our specialty. So, R2 stands for Rabble Rousers, but that is just the name of the band. It ALSO (music style-wise) stands for ReDefined Rock. ReDefined Rock is our new style of rock music, which is basically a mix of rock from all of the past 5 centuries of rock music; mostly 80's and 90's stuff. The unofficial name (you could say) is: A mix and match of music from the Beatles to Puddle of Mudd, from Default to Jimmi Hendrix, Metallica to Van Halen mixed in. That's on a SECULAR scale. If you wanted to be on the SACRED scale (lol), you could say it's a mix from Larry Norman to Audio Adrenaline, with some Petra, Whiteheart, Phil Keaggy, Stryper, Sonicflood and Pillar in the middle. It's real good, my friend, REAL GOOD.
Q: Any more FAQ?
A: Coming soon...

GUITAR; VOCALS: JAY CAVALLARO
VOCALS: BILL SHEEHEY
Basically, so far, I've had to force Bill to help me with songs... because otherwise it's just me so far my friends. I haven't proven myself worthy of being good enough for a band right now, nevermind change rock History as Jack Black from Tenacious D once said. Or, it could be in God's own timing when I will have a band. But as of now, it's just me and Bill helping me with the vocals. Here are some songs we have performed so far:
St. Augustine's Pears - Petra
Fight - PFR
Hero - Chad from Nickelback
Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm
and there may be one or 2 more than I can't remember at this point. So far, we've basically botched them... hehehe. But I know I have been only been playing guitar for about 3 years and singing publicly for even LESS, so, it's ok... someday I will get up there without being shy and scared and go all out for Jesus! :)

UPDATES as of AUGUST 22, 2002.
Well, nothing really has changed in 2 years. Rabble Rousers was started in 1999 and basically Bill and I have only played at 3 coffeehouses this year!! LOL. But I played by myself twice and with a band called "Nothing's All" twice, even writing music for one of their songs, which was called "From me to You." We should definitely play that song again, but anyway the next song I am playing is "Jesus is Life" by Steven Curtis Chapman and next coffeehouse "Alive" by P.O.D. with Joe-B-1.
UPDATES as of December 1, 2000.
Check all sections for information. Also, the sketch "Something" is now, believe it or not, the bridge to a song that I am working on called, "You Gotta Try It"! And I am going to record it very soon, and I will upload the song to MP3.com someday! I'll give you more info later on this subject. Also changed other misc. stuff.
UPDATES as of August 10, 2000.
I have decided to add Kat Hubble (of GA) to the group and put a "maybe" next to Billy as lead vocals and a "maybe" next to Tim as bass. I also added 3 new songs to the list, includes one song by me and 2 songs by Kat. I decided that we are NOT going to do a cover song; we just don't have the info we need to legally do it.
UPDATES as of June 21, 2000.
Just noted that I have written another song called "Almost 400 Years". Also updated mailing locations.
UPDATES as of June 2, 2000: "SOMETHING"
I finally came up with a little something, and thus the name of the sketch "something". I was just fooling around and I think I have SOMETHING (of course, played on the guitar). [I had a clip, but now check out latest news for more info]
UPDATES as of January 28, 2000.
We finally got our group on WWW.MP3.COM! As soon as I finish the song "Good Enough" (which will not be for a while), it will not be available for download. The artist site is at: www.mp3.com/RabbleRousers
UPDATES as of October ?, 1999.
